Weekly Report On Teaching Practice

Weekly Report - 1 [18/11/2019 to 22/11/2019]

                              My second phase teaching practice has commenced on 18/11/2019. As it is the first day, I reached at 8:30 am in the school. I met the headmaster of the school and gave the letter. After reading it, she had introduced me to the other teachers. I had an informal talk with them. My option teacher gave me the portions for covering. She introduced me in her IX-A  class. All the children were very happy after seeing a new teacher. She had given me the time table of IX -  A.Twenty children were there in the class. I introduced myself and asked their good names. Children were very friendly .I started with "The jungle air crash" .First two, three days I could not complete my lesson plan on time. It took time for understanding the level of the children. I felt the time was not enough to complete the group activities. I was confident that I can teach my children very actively. Also I learnt many things from them. I got difficulty to take class in English. So I had forced to tell the meanings in mother tongue. Anyhow I was happy at first week.

Weekly Report - 2  [25-11-2019 to 03-11-2019]

                              This week was very hectic for me.Preparing for the classes, making teaching aids, observation of the classes ,I struggled much for successing in all these . My optional teacher sat in my class most of the days.I was bit nervous to take class in front of her. Children were very cooperative. So, I could adjust. Teacher asked the feedback from the students and shared with me . She also told my positives and negatives .I could understand the tactics to improve my classes .I was very grateful to my teacher and children.  The last day of this week, my Principal and Vice Principal had observed my class. I could not perform well in front of them. They advised me for the better class.

Weekly Report - 3  [02-12-2019 to 07-12-2019]

                              I had to take more classes this week. I got enough chapters to cover .I had to find more time for making them to understand the contents. As it is the December month children were in happy mood. They were planning for their Christmas vacation and celebration. But, I wanted to complete my portions which was given by the teacher within the stipulated time. My teacher helped me much for planning the portions .I was almost happy this week.

Weekly Report - 4  [30-12-2019 to 04-01-2020]

                               Children were having their Christmas exam for the last two weeks . After their exams and vacation school has reopened this Monday. After Ten days vacation I could feel laziness on their behaviour. A few were waiting for the reopening day to share all of their enjoyable moments . They shared with me, how they spent their holidays . In between I had to take classes. I introduced few new chapters and gave many interesting activities. I had taken them, a conscientization class on the topic 'Children's Disrespect Towards Elders And Society '.I could enjoy the days with my lovable children. We also celebrated the New Year Day.

Weekly Report - 5  [06-01-2020 to 17-01-2020]

                                   It was the last week of my teaching practice. I had to complete many things in these days. I had prepared the diagnostic test, achievement test , the details for the project etc. I also planned well for my portion completion.  I felt, I became the part of the institution . I was very confident to take classes, these days. And I could involve in all the activities of the school. Day by day I got much attachment from my children. It was truly unforgettable that I told my students about the last day of the teaching practice. They were sad after hearing this. They had gifted me many things which made by themselves. It was a memorable experience for me. Really, touched my heart. I realised that the mind of the students are like blank paper . We, teachers can make it as a good painting or the path for an attractive canvas.
